Maya Cycle is a versatile one-wheel bicycle cargo trailer that easily converts into a wheelbarrow, allowing you to carry your cargo precisely to where you want it. With its featured kick-stand, Maya Cycle will hold your bicycle standing upright for easy loading and unloading of up to 66 lbs (30kg). Compatible with most bicycles using a 26 inch wheel and larger. Maya Cycle quick-release (QR) or specially designed adaptors allow you to easily attach or remove the trailer from the bicycle in seconds!

Maya Cycle is
designed to absorb shock by distributing the bending forces caused
by weight across the length of the entire trailer assembly, from
the axle connection to the trailer wheel.
The angle of the Maya Cycle is designed to minimize drag forces caused by heavy cargo when turning. |
|
The Maya Cycle
fork is the strongest point of the trailer, designed to pivot and
absorb shock. The pivoting tube is specially angled to keep the
trailer in line with the bicycle wheels while minimizing the pull
of heavy cargo from left to right.

The Maya Cycle
fork fits standard bicycle rear forks where the distance at the
axle is 130mm to 165mm in width. Sizes vary by specific features
of bicycle gears and rear wheel designs, however adjustment of a
few millimeters can be done manually (please see the manual for
more details).

3/8 x 26” are
the most common (standard) threads for a bicycle’s rear wheel axle.
The standard thread adaptors for connecting the trailer fork to
the rear-wheel axle of your bicycle are included with every purchase
of the Maya Cycle. M10 x 1mm thread adaptors are also available
for purchase through the Maya Cycle website.

Today it is more
common for bicycles to have a quick release mechanism in place of
the rear wheel axle. Maya Cycle provides you with a quick-release
option where you can use the same method of attachment as you would
with the Maya Cycle adaptors. Simply take the parts provided for
the Maya Cycle adaptors, place them on the quick release squire
and VOILA! You have the Maya Cycle quick-release.

One of Maya Cycle’s
ingenious features is its handle bars which have two purposes:
1) Converting the Maya Cycle trailer into a wheelbarrow; 2) Retaining cargo within the trailer when piled high, alleviating forces of weight from left to right when riding your bicycle. |

The second most
popular feature is the kickstand that holds the bicycle upright
for easy loading and unloading of cargo. It’s simple and convenient!
Use your foot to push it down and take a step back to sit the weight
of the trailer onto the kickstand. The trailer will hold your cargo
and bicycle standing upright. To release the kickstand, take one
step forward with your bicycle and the kickstand is relieved. Use
your foot to push it up the rest of the way until you hear a click.

For those of
you who wonder how you could lock-up the trailer with the bicycle
when leaving it in park, simply use a cable-lock and wind it through
the trailer and bicycle wheel. For overnight parking, you can simply
remove the trailer from the fork and take it with you or remove
all lose parts (handle bars, fork) and attach the body of the trailer
to the body of the bicycle with a cable-lock. Yes, it’s that simple.
